CHSG presents its training awards annually recognising and acknowledging individual company’s outstanding commitment to provide health and safety training for the benefit of its employees.
The Chairman’s Special Award is in recognition and appreciation of valuable and outstanding commitment to CHSG.
The Beaumont Safety Trophy is open to all and is awarded for the best new method of working for the prevention of accidents in the Construction Industry.
Mike Robinson, President, presented the 2010 awards at the Group’s Annual Dinner which was held at the London Hilton in March 2011.

This award, instigated in 2007, is in recognition and appreciation of valuable and outstanding services rendered to the Group. The winner of the 2010 award was Mr Sean Elson, Solicitor of Pinsent Masons Ltd.
The award recognises Sean’s support and valuable services provided to CHSG over a number of years.

Stair Master Ltd were awarded the highly
commended entry for the Beaumont
Safety Trophy 2010.
The Beaumont Safety Trophy is awarded for the best new device or method of working that is being implemented by the entrant for the prevention of accidents in the Construction Industry, whilst at the same time judged to have best furthered the objectives of the Construction Health & Safety Group.
These objectives are:
- to improve occupational health and safety in the construction industry
- to foster co-operation between government, employees and those who work in the construction industry
- to study the health and safety training needs of the industry
- to provide training in response to the identified need
Eligibility for the competition shall be limited to individuals, companies, organisations or educational establishments whose business or activities are associated with the Construction industry.
