Annual Dinner 2012

We had a great night at our Annual Dinner on 1st March! It was held at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London, and guests were entertained by motivational speaker, David Thomas, who has one of the most powerful memories in history.

Our training awards recognise and acknowledge individual company’s outstanding commitment to providing health and safety training for the benefit of its employees.

We are pleased to announce that our Beaumont Safety Trophy was awarded to Nationwide Platforms, for its pioneering anti-entrapment solution, the SkySiren. Our Chairman’s Special Award was awarded to Robert Hackett, Ferrovial Agroman, but was picked up by Phil Rowley.

Chairman’s Special Award

This award is in recognition and appreciation of valuable and outstanding services rendered to the Group.

The Beaumont Safety Trophy

The Beaumont Safety Trophy is awarded to one entrant each year in recognition of the best new working methods for the prevention of construction industry accidents. It is also judged to have best furthered the objectives of the Construction Health & Safety Group.

These objectives are:

  • to improve occupational health and safety in the construction industry
  • to foster co-operation between government, employees and those who work in the construction industry
  • to study the health and safety training of the industry
  • to provide training in response to the identified need

Eligibility for the competition is limited to individuals, companies, organisations or educational establishments whose business or activities are associated with the Construction industry.

We would also like to thank Philip White and the HSE for its continued commitment to promote the excellent training and work that the Group carries out, and our sponsors of the event for helping make it such a great success.
