The course is suitable for experienced scaffold inspectors, management/supervision who are responsible for inspecting scaffolds and completing the site reports in accordance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

The two-day scaffold inspection course is quickly becoming established as a qualification expected for those with any supervisory responsibility for scaffold structures.  With a more demanding content than the hitherto popular 1-day training course, the new scheme provides a consistent and more in-depth basis to an important qualification as evidence of competence and capability.

Their training resource has over 70 years of experience of scaffolding to support the programme.

It is expected that the 2-day course will soon take precedence over many of the existing basic scaffold training courses and the CHSG are delighted to be at the forefront of the move towards higher quality training in the key safety area of scaffolding.

• Means of Access
• TG20 and General Scaffold Requirements
• Scaffold Ties
• Other structures: Birdcage & Tower Scaffolds, Fans, Loading Bays, Pavement Gantries etc.
• Inspection and Examination of Scaffolds

Qualification/Certification

Certificate of training upon successful completion of course.

As from 1st January 2012 SITS scheme rules have changed.  It is compolsory for the training provider to apply for the applicant’s inspection card.

The applicant must have a current CSkills H & S Test either Work at Height or Supervisory.

ACCEPTABLE ALTERNATIVES

• Current CCNSG Safety Passport Supervisory (SCATS Card)
• NEBOSH Construction Certificates (taken within 2 years of application)
• SMSTS (taken within 2 years of application)
• SSSTS (taken within 2 years of application)

A glossy passport sized photograph will be required together with above proof.
