Course Objectives
At the end of the course students will have an understanding of the need for planning site safety and will have a working knowledge of the safety precautions necessary in respect of those technical subjects listed below.
Course Content
Control and Planning Site Safety Planning the Site Risk Assessments & Method Statements - Group Exercise Control Measures Presentation Skills - Delivering effective toolbox talks Special problems and safety measures in connection with: Static mechanical plant and portable equipment Site transport and mobile plant Demolition and special problems of refurbishing work Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Working with asbestos Noise measurement and control Health hazards in construction Note: Study methods include case studies and syndicate exercises
