The course will be based on one-day a week basis.
Training Designed for
The course is designed for managers and supervisory staff who need to ensure that their organisation meets its responsibilities under fire safety legislation. This qualification will enable holders to carry out a wide range of fire risk assessments in the workplace and identify the range of fire protective and preventative measures required. It is therefore also suitable for people moving into fire safety adviser roles.
This qualification will assist all responsible persons to conduct suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments and embed good practice into their fire safety management. The result will be a safer environment for all employees and visitors to the premises.

Element 1: Managing for safety
Element 2: Principles of fire explosion
Element 3: Causes and prevention of fires
Element 4: Fire protection in buildings
Element 5: Safety of people in the event of fire
Element 6: Fire safety risk assessment
Unit FC2: Fire Safety Practical application
Purpose and aim
Submission of completed work
Candidates will be assessed with written examinations for each of the two taught units in addition to the fire safety risk assessment.
A unit certificate is issued denoting successful achievement of each unit. A certificate parchment is issued on successful achievement of the two units and the practical assessments.
The NEBOSH Fire Certificate is accepted as supporting your application for the entry on to the IFE Register of Fire Risk Assessors.
