This course is designed for those who currently hold the Site Management Safety Training Scheme Certificate and now wish to update their skills and knowledge in line with current legislation.

SMSTS is one of the most widely recognised courses for Site Management and Supervisors. Certificate holders find it easier to prove their skills and many employers insist that all their Site Managers hold the certificate.

Course Objectives

The course aims to update successful candidates of the 5 day course with current legislation and updates within the industry.

Course Content

The course covers the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Regulations relevant to the construction industry. If also covers recent changes to regulations, approved code of practice and working practices.

The SMSTS course helps managers and supervisors to:

• Manage health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions and within the context of their management or supervisory role.
• Develop an understanding of responsibilities and accountability for site health, safety and welfare; and recognise a safe site is efficient, economical and productive.
