Introducing the Winners of CHSG’s Annual Awards 2013
Our Annual Dinner and Awards on Thursday 7 March 2013 were a great success and we would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors for supporting us, and to those who attended – it was brilliant seeing you all!
It is important to us to recognise and acknowledge company’s outstanding commitment to providing health and safety training for the benefit of its employees, and big congratulations to all of the winners and those who entered. The quality of the award entries is testament to the effort to safety and training from the companies.
We are pleased to announce that the winners were Martin Apps for Trainer of the Year, Morgan Sindall PLC for Continuous Commitment to Training, Mike Robinson who won the Chairman’s Special Award, All Day Safety Services Ltd for The Silver Helmet Award and Lovell Partnerships Ltd for the Beaumont Safety Award.
The new awards at this year’s Annual Dinner include The Silver Helmet Award for outstanding personal commitment to promoting health and safety within the industry as well as the Trainer of the Year award.
The prestigious Beaumont Safety Trophy was awarded to Lovell Partnerships Ltd for its new working methods to prevent construction industry accidents, and the Chairman’s Special Award recognised the value and outstanding contribution by Mike Robinson to the Group.
The other winners on the night were:
- Southside Decorators & Refurbishment Ltd – New Comer
- Joint winners Ardmore Construction Ltd and Knight Harwood Ltd – Principal Contractors
- Fairview New Homes Ltd – Housebuilding
- Joint Winners Bam Construction Ltd and Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd – Major Contractors
Checkmate Lifting & Safety LLP was also highlighted commended for its innovative Atom-X, the smallest, lightest and most compact fall arrest block in the world. JSP Ltd were also highly commended for CR2 Reflective Industrial Safety Helmets as well as Mulalley & Co Ltd for new working practices for the management of safety and culture within its organisation.
