act now

April is Stress Awareness Month – #ACTNOW

Stress is not necessarily a bad thing – the “fight or flight” response that helps us to focus our attention. If our body experiences stress over a prolonged period of time however, this can actually be very detrimental – it attacks the weakest part of our physiology – causing physical problems like heart disease, insomnia, digestive issues, immune system challenges, etc to more serious mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression.

Here at CHSG we recognise mental health is just as important as physical health so this month we urge you to take some time to look at your stress levels. We’ll be helping you to recognise what little changes you can make to have a bigger impact over the month, and we’ll be adding to our Stress Awareness section for more info.

We will also be supporting The Stress Management Society with their 2023 theme #actnow and MHFA England® by holding two Mental Health First Aid courses – find our more info on these below:we’ll be adding to our
