- Provide help to prevent poor mental health from becoming more serious
- Promote recovery from poor mental health
- Provide comfort to a person with poor mental health
This course is ideal for those interested in becoming a Mental Health First Aider.
The role of the Mental Health First Aider includes; encouraging early intervention, providing non-judgemental listening, signposting to other services and responding to a mental health crisis.
It is important that Mental Health First Aiders are clear on their role, the boundaries of this role and also how to promote wellbeing within their organisations.
How Does the Course Work?
The course is delivered over 4 online sessions, each being 4 hours long and the number of delegates on the course is limited to 16 to ensure that learners are engaged and kept safe and supported.
All learners receive a digital copy of the MHFA Manual and a hard copy of the Workbook and Action Plan. You can request a hard copy of the manual if you would prefer.
Delegates will be required to register onto the course at least 10 working days prior to the first webinar in order to receive the course materials in time for the course.
Delegates will be sent joining instructions with all the relevant links and information after signing up for the course.
At the end of the fourth live session, once all learning requirements have been met, delegates will be asked to complete online feedback before e-certificates are issued.
Full attendance of the live sessions is required for certification.
It is critical that delegates register in advance of the course start date to ensure that they have the necessary resources to attend and complete the course.
