Home Office Extend Survey for Fire Risk Assessors

The Home Office have extended a recently-released survey welcoming Fire Risk Assessors (FRAs) from 31st July to midnight 1st September 2023.

The Survey of Fire Risk Assessors – 2023 aims to provide the Government with a better understanding of the fire risk assessment capacity in the building and fire safety sector and is open to anyone who conducts fire risk assessments, either privately or as part of a managed building. 

The survey will ask assessors how they came to become an assessor including personal development, and the kind of buildings they provide assessments for.

The Home Office have released an additional survey to understand how Responsible Persons have repsonded to recent legislative changes, including:

  • Fire Safety Act (FSA) 2021
  • Fire Safety (England) Regulation 2022
  • Planned amendments to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (FSO) 2005 via the Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA)
