The HSE have released their second edition of the Electrical Safety on Construction Sites HSG41.
Aimed at those who control or influence the design, specification, selection, installation, commissioning, maintenance or operation of electrical systems and equipment during construction activities in the UK, it promotes safe working practices to reduce the risk of electrical accidents onsite.
Also, practical information is given to help dutyholders understand what the requirements of the relevant legislation may mean in practice. This includes the:
- Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015)
- Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (EAWR 1989)
- Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 1998)
