International Stress Awareness Week 2022

This year, International Stress Awareness Week runs from Monday 7th November to Friday 11th November.

International Stress Awareness Week is a major annual event that focuses on stress management and campaigning against the stigma associated with stress and mental health issues.

This awareness campaign was created by the International Stress Management Association (ISMA) in 2018 with the aim of raising awareness about stress prevention.

Over a quarter, 27%, of all ill health within the Construction Industry, between 2020 and 2021 was due to Stress, Depression and Anxiety. This clearly highlights the need for continued awareness surrounding stress and mental health within this sector.

Firstly, it’s important to understand how to spot signs of stress or mental ill health, but secondly, it’s vitally important to be able to put practices in place to support those struggling, but to also prevent the cause of stress within the workplace.

The ISMA have a variety of generic stress management resources that can be downloaded for free for use within organisations. Find out more here »

Alternatively, at CHSG, we have developed a Mental Health and Wellbeing Resources page on our website, equipped with resources and organisations that can offer support to those struggling with stress and mental health issues.
